Reduce Your Transportation Expenses

  • Use public transportation whenever possible.
  • If your car is expensive to operate and maintain (costs of gas, insurance, and repairs), consider selling it and purchasing a less costly vehicle.
  • Consider purchasing an extended warranty.
  • Use a certified mechanic. Check out the mechanic's complaint record with your local Better Business Bureau before you contract any repairs.
